I love the Peace Dollar. The design has that sort of soaring, exuberant air that was alive in the 1920s. Beautiful coin.



That's not to say the Morgan dollar is bad, it's a great coin. The prominence of the head and the intricacy of the back are great design elements. But the peace dollar has a more innovative design, and like I said earlier, it has that young, exuberant air of the '20s.


PS: This is the portrait of the woman who modeled for Peace's Lady Liberty.



She probably was pretty attractive if you could see her from the front.

I think there are a lot of "noisy" people who collect/buy Morgans in the market.

I think we'd all be surprised at the numbers of people "quietly" collecting Roosies, Commems and other series.

There's something about a Morgan that makes a person transform into a chatterbox and want to post it on the nearest forum.

 

The glory kinda looks like a mohawk spike to me.

 

Ruben is that your Afican grey, I love them i use to have one there the best talkers out of all the species ? and very:eat: Just KIdding about that.

I used to have an African Grey!! I HATED it, every morning it yelled "GARRETT WAKE UP" just like my mom. It was the most annoying thing!!! :headbang:

Birds

We had a cockatoo for about 5 year and at night he would just scream as he was road his swing! the bird was just needing a mate real bad we gave to a nice lady that a female. she told he screamed for about a week and stop. so I guess he got his mate

 

My parrot :hatch:was great ,when i use to look through rolls of coins he was there with me on my sholder he spotted something one time ,and yelled out double dieeeeee double dieeeeeeeee without him I would have passed it up, and he kept on saying it for a month. i finally cooked him.:eat::eating:
