If you want to, go ahead.
But it will cost you more that the coin is worth.

    Not worth the cost.

The rim damage and surfaces may not allow it to grade outright, and it could receive a details grade.

I echo the words of my peers, don't send it in.

Probably not. Plus, as stated, the rim damage is a concern.

I wouldn't since the coin isn't worth the money to have it graded.

I don't see why not. If you can afford it, and you like your coins to be slabbed with the real experts' opinion of the grade, go for it!

It would be a waste of money. The slab might even denote the rim damage.

What’s the coin worth? If more than the costs associated with purchasing the coin & grading, I would have it graded.

I think it's in VF. Prices get sketchy but red book says $145-235. $235 being VF35. I think it's somewhere in the VF25 range.

I think it would be alright getting graded but the rim damage is why I turned to advice. PCGS VF/XF details might be a probable outcome if I were to send it in.

Those rim dings are a killer when it comes to grading.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

The harshly polished obverse is far more severe than the couple of rim dings.

I would grade it F-VF, worth about $50 if no problems, and it unfortunately has multiple problems. Not worth being certified.
