From where is this coin?

    Do you know from where is this coins? I can´t find it in the catalog.
    I friend tell me that is from Bolivia, potosi.
    Can you tell me the KM number.

    That particular reverse using cross potent with the fleur-de-lis was not used in Potosi as far as I can tell. The only similar (but not identical) reverse design was used in Mexico City in the early 1700's. In any case, the obverse shield is incorrect for that time period. So I don't think its real.

    Sort of...except that I was guessing the coin is meant to be silver.

    Have to agree, the coin is not genuine. The cross potent was used on some silver coinage from the Lima mint and the Potosi mint, but never with that design.

    It still looks cool. Even if it doesnt have any value.

    It might well have value if it is a contempory forgery and not a modern one :D
