But remember. The cent had problems with quality. Was a bust in my eyes. Why do something so cool and so little effort in quality. 63 bucks. Hard pill to swallow

Got any extras. I really don't mean that. Coin searching is killing me. Only catch those Arizona errors and Delaware spitting hourses

My mother. I hear ya brother. Parents left us girls a bunch mint stuff. Left them in a box. Throw some new stuff on top. Then pass them along.

Agreed. Looked at my spreadsheet (I'm an engineer, I can't help it). Silver proof set issue prices:

    $21.00 in 1992-98
$32.00 in 1999 when state quarters made it a 10-coin set.
$38.00 in 2004-6 when they added an extra nickel.
$45-52 in 2007-16 when they added 4 presidential dollars.
$48 in 2017-18 when they went back to 10 coins
    $55 in 2019 with a bonus penny
    $63 in 2020 with a bonus nickel

So the price of the 10-coin set has tripled in the last 30 years.

With what I'm buying, the prices are currently $18.95 - $19.75 per roll. These are the uncirculated clad quarter rolls. I agree the current silver proof set price seems crazy.

Haha, no not really. :joyful: Actually thinking of start additional sets for kids & grandkids

Since the first 10-coin set was $32 back in 1999, the 10-coin set has not quite doubled in 21 years, and it now contains a bonus coin that should hold a value of at least $15 on the aftermarket.

Yes, of course, you're right, the pre-1999 sets were not 10 coins, they were 5.

I value the Mount Hood puck at about $150 based on sold listings on eBay. It cost me $279.95 plus $4.95 shipping to buy it from the mint in August 2010. I've got all 51 pucks from the mint despite the fact that they are not a good value buy. I collect coins because I like them. I invest in growth funds to make money.

Well to be fair the 1999 10 coin set for $32 was 90% silver and the 2019 and 2020 silver proof sets are 99.9% silver now. This has to have an additional cost involved. No clue why they raised the price $12 from last year though. I mean there were some silver spikes in the past year but there hasn't been that much change over the past year to justify it in my opinion.

Good point about the 99.9% silver.
My records show the price increase was $8.30, not $12.
    A hefty $15.30 increase since 2018, though.
(I'm not going to concede that the "free" bonus coins warrant a $15 premium):

    2017 $47.95
    2018 $47.95 (Normal proof)
    2018 $54.95 (Reverse proof)
    2019 $54.95 (Bonus Lincoln)
    2020 $63.25 (Bonus Jefferson)
