you can always bring it to spock's pawn shop. you will meet a guy called joe there he will offer you 20 bucks and take both the coins but if you tell him i sent you he will give you $25. jokes apart i would get it PCGSfied and let it rip either on the bay or on heritage
in 65 a few coins were struck on silver planchets. They would fetch a premium, however like desertgem said this economy might affect the amount you could sell them for.
Hey Guys, I had a call yesterday from a dealer who tried to tell me that there are plenty of 1965 90% silver quarters around. His only reference was e-bay - a "special Mint set" for something like $14.00. I did a Google on special mint sets. the only hits I received were on e-bay. What I found was a 1965 in the usual sleeve, mint set. There were some other years - the coins had been removed (so it appeared) and placed in hard plastic flat containers. They were also called special mint sets. I also went to the Mint website - absolutely no mention of special mint sets. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks, wilsp
I hope that dealer didn't follow his remarks with an offer to buy. SMS dimes and quarters were not silver (except by error).
He hinted around - said he would do more research and get back to me. I asked a lot of tough questions - I don't think I'll hear from him again.
