picked these 2 coins up on a site called USA COIN BOOK, i might of overpaid, but the dime got me excited, it is almost the whole date, 19 definitely doubled, and slight doubling on the 4, paid 13.00 usd for the dime and 3.00 usd for the penny, penny i think is unique because it appears to be struck through (grease)?? on both sides, both the date and on the reverse motto, what do you guys (and gals) think of my find?
not so noticeable with my pictures, sorry bu the 194 of the date is def. doubled, i will try and take a better picture i took these pics while holding the mag glass in front of camera, hopefully will be better, posting now
You need to take pictures from straight above and crop them. It would greatly help if the coins weren’t in the 2x2’s.
You don't really need to take more images. If you say it's machine doubling that's good enough. I will guess the grade EF to AU.
The dime is MD. I would like to see better pictures of the 2001-D cent. Im not sure it’s a greaser. As far as values, it’s only worth what it’s worth to you. Everyone collects what they like!
Welcome to coin talk.. not to be rude but you could have found the cent in circulation very easily. When the banks open, go get $100 worth of rolls and you'll likely find one or more. It's very common for the lettering to be missing due to grease.
since this virus hit, i have been doing what i used to do over 45 years ago, which is get rolled coins and go through them, i have gone through , oh, i would estimate maybe 30.00 rolled pennies so far, and have found none..just some wheaties, a few unc from 70's to present, some die clash errors and lamination errors, nothing like this, i enjoy it, and it seems is the normal price being brought on the bay...everyone says they are common, anyone care to sell me some cheap???
