I know there are many posts about these. This is the first one I think I spotted. Want to make sure im right and what to do to report this. I did not message the seller yet. Nothing comes up when I enter this certification number. Screenshot_20200419-052749_eBay.jpg Screenshot_20200419-052753_eBay.jpg Screenshot_20200419-052802_eBay.jpg

It could be a glitch in their DB. Have you compared the holder/label with other PCGS gen 4 holders? Font type and size? Color?

No. Im still a little new. But I looked up several other cert numbers which all came up. So it seems the database is working. But this one does not.

A call to customer service can get this fixed. They may ask for images of the slab. Coins that are not in the database come up on the forums. It seems to get fixed.
I'm not saying this slab is real. I don't know.

Well it looked ok to me too. I just never ran into a situation where a cert number did this. I messaged the seller about it. In case he wants to get it fixed.

I have learned from my past experience that when you message a seller about a discrepancy or mistake maybe about 1 out of 10 will thank you and maybe fix the error or delete the item. The other 9 will say "Mind your own business" or "Get lost!"...

I don't message anyone any longer.

So that’s what sellers tell you when you ask about $50000 coins? :-D

I think the coin and slab look real. Sometimes pcgs screws up. I had a Cert number for a seated quarter come up as a franklin half. And I knew the quarter was legit as I had it graded there

Don't think anyone would counterfeit a coin that low in value. Not worth the time and expense to do it. Call PCGS customer service. I have had 1 or 2 that would not verify and they fixed it and said it was a glitch in the database. But, maybe it is counterfeit. I would also let the seller know about it.

I was looking to bid on a coin in a PCGS slab in an on-line auction from a major auction venue (not eBay) and the certification would not come up in PCGS's database. I emailed the auction house on a Sunday afternoon, they contacted PCGS and then emailed me back within hours to say it was a PCGS database glitch and the auction house would stand by the coin. I bid on it and won it that night and the next day PCGS had corrected the database.

    So it does happen.

IMO current price is a bit high. I won this one on ebay last week for under $40.

Bar code scans invalid and it's in a heavily counterfeited 4.1 slab. (2002-2004)
These slabs appear perfect. (PCGS can tell them apart)

    Strongly advise to pass.

Here is a confirmed 4.1 fake (cert & bar code from 27 saint)

Here is another but with good cert & bar code.

Update your holders folks or risk not being able to sell them.

If you’re implying I’m a fraud or phony, sorry to dissapoint you. I looked up the information on PCGS.com using the first set of numbers that take me to that listing. Is that not how to use the search, or am i missing something? ;)
