Attractive women on the bourse

As a male collector are you or would you be more apt to visit a dealers table or display if there was a purty lady behind the counter ?

I think I have an idea of what the response will be but,just wanted to ask.


BTW these answers will determine for sure if my wife comes to the next show with me or not -Kiss

Just a suggestion, but I think you marriage will be happier if we do NOT make that decision.

 

What I look for in a coin dealer is knowladge of the coins and plesant personality and not good looks LOL dont know if you have ever attended a British coin fair but looks are the last thing on offer from most of the dealers

 

Now Rlm , you know as well as I that we REALLY dont make any decisions like that- :whistle:

She's happy if I sell more coins- if she helps me do that the she would be happy becuase she gets a new pair of shoes or something like that-
Besides the Fairlane mall is just across the street.

I might actually think I'm being manipulated and avoid the table all together.

In other words, depending on how she was presented, it may make me wonder about the scruples of the dealer... is this the Hooters principle applied to coins!?!?

 

I'm there for coins, and that is it. I hardly even notice the dealer unless I want to see something, or I'm making an offer.

I've noticed this myself, its downright funny sometimes. Shirts are just a little lower cut, skirts a little shorter - but still tasteful. And who can blame them?

I ticked off four myself. If I were starving and a coin dealer had sandwhiches, I'd go to him, wouldn't I?

 

Not hardly- I just said attractive - not scantly clad.

For me I know that I have watched a friend of mine who has a nice looking assistant get more traffic at his table just becasue he had his girlfriend with him. Even when he wasnt at the table there was alot of traffic.

His coins were no different than mine ,heck he buys a good portion of my coins before the show starts to the public & is reselling them. So I really think as much as people dont want to admit it that there is a draw -

 

I wanted to respond that it is all about the coins, but I have to admit that a pretty lady will certainly get my attention! :kewl:

 

I believe the term in the advertizing industry is "sex sells". Wether consiously or not, most men will be drawn to the dealer with the attractive assistant. Its just a fact of life, There's a reason they are built that way!

The only women I've ever seen behind the table at shows are at least 80+ years my senior. But I do see a lot in the crowd.

Absolutely not ! We all know many women use attractiveness to manipulate and control. It's what's in the case that counts !

 

A pretty girl always gets my attention , but at my age she wont influence my desision making , at least I hope not .
