As much as I have no respect for the cool numbers site that's a good serial number. Under 1000 and three 7s at the end. Circulaated note. I would keep it. Value? Whatever someone will pay you for it. Just a matter of finding the right buyer.
R U a cool number? No? Aw, shucky-darn! But it is a quick glance at the mathematical uniqueness of these 8-digit serial numbers, and, as such, kind of handy, one might find...
The problem is that it looks for all sorts of kinds of mathematical uniqueness, some of which collectors don't typically care about (like whether the number is prime); and it doesn't check for some things collectors *do* care about, either (like the fact that this note is a zero-progressive). It'd be useful if somebody with the necessary know-how would whip up a similar site that would *really* tell you how interesting a serial number is from a collector perspective. But, yes, this particular serial number is quite interesting indeed. Nice find!
The "necessary know-how" part. I don't have a clue how to do all the scripty-php-java-whatsit that would be needed on the back end. (Notice that my own website is a very large stack of pure html pages, occasional *text* pages, and one CSS file. We're talking, like, twentieth-century technology here. )
Nice find. In other news, I HAVE RETURNED FROM THE DEAD!!! :kewl: Heh. But yeah, I am back. First post back and I am ninja'd. Is that a bad omen?
KD....nice find indeed, as many other have already expressed. That is the reward of working at the Bank! RickieB
awsome find! nice find, and just before you sealed its fate as a burger nakin definately keep that one
Thanks but I didn't get this one at the bank. My son went on a trip and brought it back in his change.
I definatly told him what he had. I also gave him a great big kiss! It's my favorite note found so far!
OMG I don't do paper but if you sold that on eBay I would buy it for 30 bucks. 7 is my lucky number. Cool find.
LOL Thanks! I'm not selling it though. It's the neatest note I have so far and the fact that it came from my son (however unknowing he was) makes it special. It is nice though to know what others might pay for it so that I know it's approximate worth. Collecting something is funner when you know it's worth something and others want it.
Yeah I would keep it if I were you. By the way I am sure you could make more than 30 for it because it is a low # and a repeater.
Thanks. Even though I don't intend on selling it it's neat to know what it might sell for. That's part of the fun of collecting something is knowing it's worth more than you paid for it and that someone else wants it. It would have to bring ALOT for me to sell it and I know that it won't. LOL I don't need the money bad enough to sell it.
