Looks like you have some marinara stains on the obverse of your Pistol Pete's Pizza token, Goldsay. Be very careful how you clean it off. Could we please see a pic of the reverse.
It can join my illustrious Chuck E. Cheese token. Think of the party that Chuck E. and Pistol Pete would throw!! Whoooo hooooo!!!
I loved dirt track racing back in the Midwest late 1960’s dirt tracks. We had a race car sponsored by Pistol Pete’s and the drivers name was Pete something or other. Car number 66..... Amazing how this post brought up a fifty year old memory like that. I haven’t thought about that old dirt track in who know how long..... Thanks for the thread.
I swear you can find anything on Google. Pistol Pete York driving the Pistol Pete sponsored race car..... Or tri-pod as it were in this particular photo...... Oh the memories this brings back.
Sweet Chuck E. Cheese token, Ewomack. I'm thinking MS65, with no obvious tomato sauce stains.......unlike Goldsay's. You know, I wonder if Pistol Pete's Pizza might be affiliated with the late great NBA Atlanta Hawk-New Orleans Jazz superstar, Pete "Pistol Pete" Maravich? Maybe that's where Randy's #66 comes into play? I was just a toddler when Pistol Pete was lacing them up, but #66 sounds like a number that a free wheeling, slick ball handling, shooting guard might just slap on.
On this token they was a tower of metal oxides cause my neighbor found it in very large pipe in the sink. He says he lived in that house for more than 60 years (with quite good memory) and he dropped one while cleaning a lot of them as a child when he dropped a tomato-based paste onto the pile of tokens.
I mean I've never heard of Pistol Pete, the race car driver, the Atlanta Hawk player or the Pistol Pete's Pizza.
