Am I going to jail for an assassination attempt? I assume this is post mint, but it is interesting. You may notice that his throat has been slit, AND he seems to be wearing a bluetooth headset. The reverse has some snot (or at least that's what it looks like). Is it really a cardinal sin to clean that? As a personal conversation piece, I wouldn't expect that to be a problem, but if it had any value to someone else I can't brush that slime off with a welding brush, bench grinder, miniature C-4 charge (of course from a safe distance), etc? I can absolutely assure you my six year old granddaughter would be able to get it off, intentionally or otherwise.

Sorry for the quality. Still working on the software. Feel free to let me know what you think I need to concentrate most on with photos.

I excel at stoopid questions, but I need to ask one for future reference. Should I turn this over to the bank as defaced? I am aware in certain cultures, probably not in the US, this would be offensive.

Wishing everyone well, and thanks for your time.

It looks like it has been damaged after being struck .

That's terrible.....that I didn't pay more attention. As far as I can tell he didn't feel a thing.

Intuitively, I suspect this type of goober would not likely occur at the mint. I'm afraid I don't know the term for mint created damage, but if it did happen before distribution it would still be almost impossible to know that for certain, is that correct? I'm having more trouble with the learning curve than I want to admit, but I'm genuinely interested.

    Thanks for the help.

    Thanks.

You are correct , some times damage is about impossible to tell when and where it happened so either way it is post mint damage.
