An unfortunate outcome may be that some collectors who might ordinarily buy this could be out of work due to the virus and choose not to buy them as a result. This might only mean that people like Mike "The Mouth" Mezack will be able to scarf up the rest. ~ Chris

I have a subscription for them. I believe they will sell out fast.
I have seen a lot of presale auctions for the reverse proof nickel on eBay. I have to wonder with such a low mintage how those auctions will be affected. Can't sell em if you can't get em.

Other than the Kennedy half, I have no interest in these coins. Mezack will have a field day.

Yes it is. I transposed a few numbers. The correct amount is 190,960. Thanks for the correction.

That is how many are on hand for immediate shipment, that doesn't mean they won't accept orders for a lot more than that, you just won't get them shipped immediately. This is not a "limited mintage" item.

We will probably see some immediate flipping for silly money because of that 190K figure, then later when the start shipping all the other orders, the price will crater.

Proof sets are as dead as dinosaurs. If the flippers don’t see a potential for a quick buck, they won’t be buying out the mintage.

I disagree. The reverse proof W nickel will drive the sales. The SF mint is closed, and until COVID19 is under control it will be closed. I don't see them minting a lot more of these sets, since when they reopen they will need to start gearing up for 2021. But what do I know?????

Soundsl ike you are looking to flip the nickel, Beardigger.

To me it's just another boring, gimmick modern coin that will be most everyone's rear view mirror five years from now, just like most of them.

Not going to flip the nickel. Just going into the collection. But I did look at the presale auctions on eBay. Some flippers are guaranteeing a Pf 69 nickel. Don’t know how they can do that.

Are TPGs even grading right now?

Most of these modern coins are at least MS or PR-69. Getting the 70 grade is the “You struck it rich!” moment.
