They can be a double edge sword. I have busted the plastic screws before (breaking them loose rather than tightening them).... And I have cracked acrylic before with the aluminum fasteners. I service construction and back in the days when we had paper blueprints, the printers would use those aluminum post fasteners for the paper blueprints. I would swipe them from my blueprints for my Capitol holders!.... Is that considered embezzling from my business??
@Randy Abercrombie You have a great 1883 W/O Cents. I have one my aunt gave me in 1948. Not near as nice as yours. It looks like a weak strike.
I did this while under home arrest. I had the coins and the empty folder. They were in 2x2s and I moved them to the folder. Trying to tidy up the collection. They're clad. I don't even know how I came about the coins. Especially the proofs.
