Look what I found after rechecking my stash for the third time. Is it or isn't it?

Sure appears to be, and the FG is close to the steps which pretty much clinches it.

    Congratulations on your find.

i HAVE A EPSON v200 scanner and am having a tough time getting good focus at zoomed images like the FG. When I GET GOOD FOCUS THE PICTURE IS TINY. wHEN RESIZED it becomes blurry again. Here is the best I can do so far. Can anyone help me get larger clearer zoomed pictures

Not sure about scanners. Maybe you can scan in a higher resolution or put coin with a magnifying glass? I've been looking for one of those myself, good work!

Scan at a minimum of 600 dpi and save as a .tif file. Then crop the area you want to view, re-size it appropriately, and then save it as a .jpg. That will work ;)

Whoa, good answer! Didn't even think of changing file types, and I'm a computer nerd. What about grade or are pics not good enough yet?

I always ask at the bank for rolls of half dollars, 2-dollar bills, or anything "unusual".

For the first time in over a year, they actually had (one) roll of half dollars, and two rolls of the "big" Dollars.

I bought them, of course. Halves were all modern 71 and later....

    The big dollars were....

all Ikes, but I'm glad to even get them. I like to use them as tips, but the girls at Al Bundy's favorite bar prefer paper dollars for some reason ? :goofer:

There are only three coins left that circulate, nickel, dime, quarter. The half and dollar coins are non-coins. The cent is meaningless, many stores now just round it to a nickel, in your favor.

I searched four rolls of Lincons today and found one circulated '54-D wheat and one real nice '58-D in AU with most of the luster still intact.

I also found several cents fron the sixties and seventies in AU. I'd say almost half of the coins were pre '82.

    Buy bags from the mint

Anybody ever buy mint bags from the mint ,they charge you over face value I forget how much over face. I was thinking about doing that. and searching, you may find some real good errors.
    Good luck in you search.

Searched a box today, doing a bit of copper mining and came up with the following goodies:

    Wheat:
    1942
    1944
    1945
    1949D
    1951D
    1953D
    1955D
    1957D X 2
    1958D

    S Mints
    1971
    1972
    1974

    Canada
    1947 ML - actually a 1948
    1955
    1956
    1963
    1964 x 4
    1967 Centennial

And the best part, took the coins back to another bank, ran them through the machine and the total came to $29.82, so I asked if they had any halves, large sized dollar coins, $2 bills etc. Nothing but a 1969-D, 40% :D

A silver lining for my effort.

I've looked at the us mint sight and I guess they do not seel pennies in bags. Am I correct? Forget Pennies .com. Way, way over priced. For 330 coins at $60+$10 shipping it looks like $4.70 per coin minimum. DRATS! I'd like to buy bags of pennies.
