Last night our local coin club held it's monthly meeting. Normally we have somewhere between 50-60 members in attendance. Last night we had 19. The meeting was held in full compliance with "social distancing". Instead of physically meeting at our usual place, we conducted the meeting using Zoom video conferencing. I would call it a success and it was a lot of fun. I was even able to insert and show a short PowerPoint presentation during the meeting. The "meeting" was planned, set up, and executed in only 3 days. Hopefully with some more communication, we will have a larger crowd next month. We might even have a Show and Tell event. If you club would like to do this, I would suggest using Zoom. It's free to use. The free version will limit the time to 40 minutes for groups larger than 2, but if one of the members has a paid account, then it can go longer. If you have a laptop or tablet with webcam or PC with video and microphone, your are good to go. You can even use your smartphone. It can be watched even if your pc doesn't have webcam or microphone. Works for family meetings also.

I am not promoting Zoom, just what we used and it worked great. There are other options.

Thanks for posting this, I think it is a good idea. One of our members suggested that we do a "follow my story" e-mail chain about coins, and included his story, but nobody has picked up the idea and run with it yet.
