FYI it was before the move down camino claimed they were 'almost out'.

and if you aren't happy with the camino example, how about the US mint?

Since the 08' silver eagles were released, they have limited the supply of silver eagles to their 13 dealers, for the first time in 7 years. (the dealers wanted 5 times more per order.) Since the current move down they have HALTED supply.

    European recession ?

Looks like the Euro is going down. The dollar has nothing to carry it up. Housing in Europe is starting to show sign of a crater. Banks ,and banking firms who trade stocks next ?
Nothing has made the dollar move by itself. If you buy gold, use it as another asset allocation . Whether you buy bullion, or a class of collectables will be determined by your knowledge base. If you have real estate, stocks, metals, and cash, there is just, what amounts do you allocate to each. Diamonds, that can be tricky with all the blood stones being sold.

    new low

new low for platinum at $1,056.00 per ounce. down 54.1% from its high. now the different between gold and platinum is around 36.6%. $1,059.00 (platinum) against $775.00 (gold). before it reached almost 136% between them. $2,302.00 for platinum and $1,028.50 for gold. it look like the platinum could fall below $1,000.00. because of poor automobile sale and weak demand.
