I own possess one Barber Dime. Well circulated in my opinion. A real coin. This is the perfect example of what I collect. Plus it's from New Orleans - like me!

That's a perfectly acceptable Barber dime.

I wouldn't think that dogs and whiskey would mix all that well.

Nice looking coin, by the way . . .

Significantly better date, and better condition -- looks like a solid VF to me. Nice!

Very nice eye appeal. My entire collect is centered around eye appeal. I am more interested in character of a coin rather than clean and shinny. I have some of those simply because I searched through many cash registers as a youngster. If this represents your collection - fine job.

    Thanks for the comments ya'll.

I can't imagine collecting a whole set of these, either a year set or a year/mint set. Anyone have a complete set they can share pics of?

    Or a proof Barber dime?

I have a complete set from 1900. They are not real good since I found most of them in circulation back in the late 40's and 50's. The others I traded for in our unofficial coin club. I don't have any in proof.

My humble Dansco. Everything except the 1895-O (should have bought one 30 years ago when I started putting the set together). 1894-O and 1895-P are rough but they're there.

@LakeEffect Nice. My camera is busted. I will put up pics of my short, well circulated set, later.

He means, of course, that he has no proof coin; not that he has no proof that he has the set! :jawdrop::smuggrin::smuggrin::smuggrin::D:D:D:p:joyful:;)
