    The consensus is obviously "cleaned". For my (and others) edification, could you point out what the "Tells" are in those photos that leads one to that conclusion. Since we often have to rely on photos when we acquire coins, I would certainly like to put that information in my data banks for future use. Thanks Much.

    Appears the breast on the eagle has full feathers. Obverse seems to have more rub. Nice coin.

    I'm not seeing any luster or toning. The coin has no skin left.

    Agree with the XF 45 cleaned people.
    The reason I am not AU details is because when you clean a coin it
    will usually look one grade higher.

    Thanks much. I always feel that it's hard to be definitive about luster from an ordinary photo, however I certainly see your points here; "The coin has no skin left." is especially descriptive - like it has little or no life to it. Again, thanks much, I really appreciate your responding with something I can use in the future. Semper Fidelis
