I took 3 pictures of the rim --i don't see one groove disturbed so please give me a idea how the dime was held to do this?ty
Only the person who altered that Dime would know why it looks that way. It is definitely not a mint error. You need to better understand how coins are minted and how true mint errors can occur. When you understand then you will see that is damage.
Una vez mas.. Only the person who did it would know that. We were not there. But we do know that the issue cannot occur during the minting process.
