thanks rzage, The sad part about it. The coin was in a 2x2 and in the album book already. I did noticed it until the other night, I have been looking for the 1951 wheat penny but couldn't find that one but saw the 1952 instead. cheryl

Man what stunning photography! I convict this coin on all counts. What really makes these errors attractive to me is the look of this coin--it's absolutely beautiful! :thumb:

I think it's kind of rare to have chips on both stalks. Nice find and pretty coin.

spock 1, normally I keep any thing queatable out of the rolls and check them later. I put alot of the wheat pennies in 2x2 before I really new about the error end of this. Good luck cheryl

Very nice find! I also would have missed the obverse one, and seeing as I sometimes...(most of the time) don't look at the reverses I doubt I would have caught that. (Except the 1922 D no D of course):goof::D

(Except the 1922 D no D of course) I would like to find that. Went I put the coins in the holders I was looking for the best out of about 3000 wheatie to save for the collection. Not looking or knowing about error at the time. so now I will go back and look at the rest but first I have to finish the 50 rolls of mixed in front of me. Thanks Cheryl

    Cool coin !!!

They are called " Crackheads " and very common on 50's era wheat cents. For some reason die chips abound on them. Also watch for chips in the word Liberty between the B and the E....there are entire clubs that collect and catolog " BIE " cents

    cool find Cheryl !
