    Howdy fellow coin peeps, :D

I picked up a "lot" with several early coppers in it and one no date Capped Bust Cent that I believe is a 1795 S-78. One day recently, I was fooling around and photographing a few of my older coppers and took a pic of it and when I was cropping it, I noticed something interesting on the obverse:

The easiest way to see the double strike is to look at her lips. :kewl:

Looking at the forehead, it sems that it could be strike doubling.
    Or not.

Frank - if you look closely you can see the second set of lips and nose.

    Cool coin toad.

The doubling isn't even. On the second strike, the coin shifted a little but it wasn't an even shifting. The doubling gets further apart from top to bottom. If you will look on her shoulder, you will see a second shoulder and follow that up and the distance gets smaller and smaller as you go up. I do not recall strike doubling doing that?

I need to start calling them Liberty Cap Cents since that is their proper name. ;)

You know I never noticed that before - even in the emails. :)

I don't know why but I've always called them that. I don't know if it's because peeps call them that on Ebay or I saw it somewhere else but from now on I'm calling them by their correct name. :thumb:
