Small Date?

    Hello....with all of this time I have on my hands if been trying to learn about small dare versus large date 1982 cents. Is this a small date?

    No. That is a large date. Here is a photo that explains how to distinguish them:

    As @SamuelFred1 shows in his picture, the easiest way to distinguish the small date from the large is the shape of the 2,

    Gotcha! Read somewhere about how the numbers line up. This is much less confusing.

    maxresdefault (19).jpg I think it's time to add a dedicated sub-forum here for all things 1982 cents - maybe this article from CoinWeek could be pinned to the top as an intro, tutorial and final word on the subject.
    It might save hundreds of new members and others lots of time and free up the experienced membership from the weekly repetition of the same old explanations. :banghead:
