Hi i revieved this bill and trying to figure out if uts fake. It has chinese letters but not in Red. Ive looked for hours on dfferent sites. Came up with nothing. Its been around for awhile. Looked like its been used like any other but just has a light paper feel to it. Im not interested in going to prison over it. Just need some advice. Due to this virus seems like its impossible to get anyone to help on certain matters. Thank you 15853713444518228158048502650670.jpg

Tell the person you got it from to give you a real one.

Always check. Use common sense especially on a high denomination. Anything on it such as chinese characters is a big giveaway of a fake note.

Do you know how to check the watermark?
Does the Blue security strip look printed on or raised as it is supposed to be?

mark it with a detector pen just about any store has one . Borrow and put your treasure back in your pocket. Good fire starter

It does say bank trial purpose in Chinese so that Chinese banks can know what genuine money feels like. In short, it's not genuine. If this is what you got from circulation, you just lost $100.

Aqua Net, White Rain, and other hairsprays easily fool the pen.

IMHO the best way to tell if a note is counterfeit is the texture.

Basically any bill with Chineses characters you should just consider fake and don't accept it.

Just because you searched and could not find an exact match doesn't mean anything, other than you didn't search hard enough

    .... 30 seconds ..

And spray starch can fool it the other way and make the pen say a genuine note is fake.

I cashed a check at our North Carolina State Employee's Credit Union and I got two (2) Twenty Dollar bills with the word "TRUMP" written on the reverse twice with a RED marker. I was able to scan the reverse of the two twenty dollar bills. Something in the bills kept me from scanning the front of the two bills. I was able to copy the reverse of the two bills also. I don't know what I could have done differently to scan the obverse of the two bills. I have the photocopy of the reverse of the two bills kept in my safe at a secure place. The original of the two bills is in my safety deposit box at my credit union. It's hard for me to believe first, that the teller took in the two bills into her cash drawer, and secondly, she gave the two bills to me as a part of currency that was given to me. PLEASE, PLEASE, tell me what I should do with them. I'm afraid that the Treasury agents would charge me with some crime. I don't think anyone would accept the bills in payments.

If you compare it to the size of a real bill it should be noticeably smaller.

maybe someone simply wrote with a red marker on the bills.
If you got it at a credit union it is probably fine.

I get bills with all sorts of things written on them
have you ever see the "Where's George" thing for $1 bills ?

What do you think was wrong with the front of the bills?
You can scan the front of the bills by turning them over.
And if they worried you maybe go back and have them replace it with unwritten on bills.
Do you have pictures that you can post ?

Also, you should create your own thread.

but just in case you are curious ....

Welcome to CT @Todd bordon. I think I'd ask a moderator to change your user name as there is another Todd borden, spelled with an e, on this forum. Could get confusing.

Spend them. They were/are part of a campaign to irritate never Trumpers.

Also, US currency above, I think, a $1 bill is copy protected so you CAN'T photo copy them. The photo copier should have given you a message telling you it is forbidden to photo copy US currency.

@Todd bordon back to your bill. It is a Chinese printed 100 dollar bill that is used to train Chinese tellers, so it is NOT real and you shouldn't try to spend it. I hope you weren't given it as a real $100 bill.

If it is a real bill someone just rubber stamped some characters on it.
If it is a fake bill, I seriously doubt that it wasn't recognized at the Credit Union,
and then given to you as real. They can get in so much trouble for that, it's not
    worth "saving" $100.
