I hope you're right and it doesn't vanish again, or turn up in Los Angeles!

I wonder how they're handling signature requirements these days. It's hard to carry out that process while staying six feet apart.

For signature it should be now as it is in Europe : they don’t ask you to sign that you receive it , the post guy put the parcel in your front for , ring the bell and go away signing for you so no contact and you need to react quickly to take to take your parcel. In Europe we all all at home except some workers essential for logistics and manufacturing, food retail and medical staff or related.

The moto is no contact and sign is a contact that auction house prefer to keep your buying in their vault, frustrating but safer at this time.

This why I state , even if people where thinking that I was silly, that it is no the right time to bid in auction and to make good deal. Except if you are rich and can afford to loose money.

Update new banner on CGB website stating that they now send again by DHL all package over 100 usd ( in fact over 100 € so depend on currency rate) but no more infos.

Everything change everyday about deliveries ans depends of countries so it is really difficult to know what will happen to your parcels.

Don’t worry I am pretty cool this thread is just to share information we know about what happen regarding auction houses during this bad time and new rules.

My budget is now only of 200 usd per month if I saw something interesting me in serious auction pretty much lower than usual as I can sleep very well and can afford to. Loose 200 usd not receiving my coins. My fun is to follow trends and buy to this limit of 200 usd monthly in auction no more and to read, to be cool and learn on numismatic, history...

My only advice is that if you can’t afford to bids and never receive perhaps you coins and cannot sleep because of that it is better not to bid during this period and. To keep your money for essentials like paying bills, food, TP and have some savings including for medical care.

To be relax you need to be cool so to act to be relax, this is what I do.

Fully aware of the problems I have decided only to bid in auctions in my own country.
I won 1 lot in the latest Naville auction and will update folks as things progress, its paid for and am just waiting to see what happens with the post.

Well, as @David Atherton predicted, the L. Papius denarius arrived with the mail today. (As it turns out, it wasn't sent by registered mail from France, but by international priority mail, so there was no signature requirement.) Of course I'll never know why the package sat in the New York ISC for 10 days -- especially given that Customs insists they never held it! -- or why it then had to travel from New York City to Columbus, Ohio on its way to my address in New York City. But even though the fact that the package came from Europe may have had nothing to do with the delay, since it arrived in this country shortly before the international flight restrictions went into effect, I am going to stick with my decision not to order from abroad again (except perhaps Canada) until this situation is over with. Until then, I think the problems with getting mail from Europe are only going to get worse. If I want to buy anything at all, there's plenty of inventory here and in Canada.
