I noticed a circular I sent on the reverse of my Susan b Anthony wide rim dollar and I’m not sure if this is an error or supposed to be there. Its very faint but it’s definitely noticeable in hand. I’m still quote new to numismatics. I’m also not sure of a san Francisco Mint having wide and narrow varieties any ideas on the rarity difference? I took a picture of both I own for reference.
I assume that you are referring to what appears to be a die crack on the reverse. Please try to be more specific when asking for help. The wide rim and narrow rim varieties apply only to the 1979-P coins. If you don't have a "flat-cinch" stapler, I'd suggest that you use a pair of pliers to flatten the points of the staples. They can easily scratch another coin. ~ Chris
I’m with @cpm9ball. The one you have labeled as wide rim appears to be slightly MAD. Misaligned Die strike.
Noted thank you for the help. I'm not great at pointing out these kinds of things and happy to know my first error coin is a Susan B Anthony. Doesnt seem to be significant but its still cool.
