    Why is it silver coins appear to be cheaper (in general) than bronze ones easier to fake maybe.

    Because melt value has nothing to do with the price of either. Rather, artistic and historical interests tend to drive demand. People like the larger size of the bronze coins as a "canvas" for the art. Well preserved, large bronzes are in great demand.
