Hello all my favorite smart people! Quick question- I hope you can all help! I came across both of these today and as excited as I was to think I finally might have found my first error coin- I was just stumped! Either way, error or not- I LOVE THEM! They look awesome!! But can you tell me please what happened? If I actually took a guess- I would think some kind of laminating error??? ‍♀️

Sorry but they all look to be just stains on them from being in circulation. That one has had another coin laying on it for a while .These zinc cents are not much good to begin with. the thin copper layer can bubble up and do all sorts of things , even rot

Oh my gosh! I wasn’t thinking damages at all, but now looking- I’m just laughing at myself!! I wish I had the time to take a better photo of the 2018 though. It actually looks like a clear layer over Lincoln’s face- it’s pretty odd. Maybe I can post a better pic in the morning. Looks like my kids will get these two! Thank you so much!

Please do so. It takes time to learn and time to find those errors.
