I told you to take your passport!! Man, it might have been worth it! but Just how do they reverse it? Start all over or just the underbidder? Jim
Geeeez Jack - can't let you go anywhere ! Note to your wife on the way - you gotta go with Jack from now on :secret:
Doug, is THAT what you meant by be careful at live auctions? LOL Todays story. Rlm bargaining with Andy of Angel Dees over a 12-D, RLM won. He got a nice 12-D in PCGS 64 BR with a bunch of red, pretty good deal from a a great Lincoln guy. I had my feelers out, and Mark Feld located me a nice 64 RB ( yep, you guess it ) 1909-SVDB, so I bought another one. I think I'll stop with the SVDB's for now I did pick up my Washing token, a 1783 Unity States in PCGS VF-35, a screamer deal and I am done shopping. Rlm took the rest of my money I had left, he sold me a bunch of raw primos.....will go well in my XF/AU offerings. Overall....after a dinner at Rock Bottom again, seafood this time, I am in for the night and officially broke. Watch some tv and chill in the room. 1/2 day on the bourse tommorow then off to the airports. Oh yeah, the Mustang convertible makes us old grey haired men official babe magnets. At least we think so !!
nice but the forum is more interested in how you got out of jail. we dont care much about babe magnets
Jack and RLM, good luck to you both!! Wish I could go along with you guys. Somebody has to keep this country free... =D I hope you guys have a lot of fun!!! Keep an eye out for some nice early lincolns for me as well Jack. =D
oops, guess I am kinda late to this thread. Sorry. But good luck anyways..... see my good luck saved your butt from becoming a dart board.
I know we were joking about bail money, I just didn't reallize you might actually need it. I'll start rolling coins tonight. By the way how much was that large cent you accidentally bought?
Last saw AJ and rlm this afternoon, they were about to head out to their respective airports from the show. Took a look at AJ's stack of 09s VDB slabs, quite a treat to hold so many high grade key dates.
Just home, arrived about 5 but had to run quickly to my daughters house. She leaves in the morning for Rhode Island, Officer Candidate School, US NAVY !!!! I'm an awful proud dad folks. Kind of scared too. Anyways, the show. Wow. Never without adventure, I was sitting in my airport and RLM called. Seems he booked his return flight from a different airport than he landed at, but was unaware of it. So, they have him on standby for the return to Oklahoma City, lol, poor guy, he was beat tired and sore from all the walking. Je just called me as I am typing, he is in Dallas and on the way home, whew, lol. Hers a quick pic of my haul, the slabbers at least. We also dropped off a wheelbarrel of raw Lincolns at the PCGS booth, and I have a short dbl row of raws as well to sort out. Coins coins and coins. Oh yeah, we ate like kings too. :smile Short of the CAC sticker and the 22-D, these are my pickups....YES, that IS a MS-65 1924-D. I have 2 more lots still at Heritage, should have them in hand shortly, a PCGS MS-65 RB 1909-SVDB and a PCGS AU-55 1914-D. Cool stuff.
