40 civil rights quarters proposed

    I think we should redesign all coins and currency to resemble hobos. Imagine a "Hobo $1 Program".

    Actually I think it's a good thing for people who collect FS's. Here we all are complaining about the huge #'s of coins and products that the mint puts out and because of low demand (because certain folks can't triple their purchase price on the secondary market) the mint starts to limit the output of FS"s. I think it might be said that they are being somewhat cost effective in this area.
    As for FS collectors there exists the potential for a very rare series in terms of pieces minted. Whether or not there is demand for the series down the road is speculation.

    But Amazon, Ebay, LL Bean etc do not manufacture the items they sell like the restaurants and the mint do

    The Booker T, GW Carver, and Jackie Robinson coins were not civil rights coins. The Robinson coin come the closest because he did "cross the color line", but even that had very little to do with the civil rights of others as much as with a ball team just wanting to win and taking advantage of talent where they could find it.
