Whether you own them or not, what are you three favorite coin designs? mine: 1. Gorgon Medusa Drachm 2. Istros Drachm 3. Chersonessos Silver Hemdrachm stainless
silver double nomos, noe, thurian, ( the one on forum) I like the allexander III and athenian tetradrachms.
Athenian Tetradrachm. Ephesus, Ionia, AE 8 ca. 250 BC. Syracuse Sicily 8 Litrae issued during reign of Agathokleos (317-289BC), these are actually very close to the design of the Corinthian stater, the triskeles symbol below Pegasus is the main difference.
Theres actually alot with Owls on them, but this is one of the better designs: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/catalog/roman-and-greek-coins.asp?vpar=54&zpg=25341 stainless
In general, I feel that the artistic rendering of a particular die of any given design is more important to me. I absolutely love Roman Imperial portraiture, particularly. But for overall coin designs, how about: Lucania, Metapontum AR nomos Sicily, Syracuse AR tetradrachm Roman Imperial, Augustus AV aureus
