Thanks. She's good. Had a couple stitches put in and we called it a day. Fun times.

I too was initially worried about bank lobby closures. However, three different bank branches told me last week that it would be no problem to just cruise on up to their drive thru window and then they would meet me at their main entrance with whatever coinage boxes I needed.

I “cruised up” to my bank’s commercial lane and bought a box of halves that were supposed to come in last week, and $100 MWR quarters. As we were finishing the transaction, she apologizes for the one week delay to which I tell her no worries, I was just happy to get them. She then tells me they have another box of halves in case I want them later. I think for a moment, and say I may get them later in the week. I got home, opened the box, and found 2 Kenders (90%ers). Will search them in a bit. Am headed back to that bank tomorrow morning, lol.

So this box was great! 33 total silvers & a 1974-D DDO. I’m headed back to the bank tomorrow to buy the companion box.

On the CV front. I go to my local grocery store around lunch time. It’s not too crowded and I buy a few essential food items and a half gallon of Blue Bell Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream (my wife’s favorite). ‘Cuz sometimes you just gotta have something good during these times.
Of course I check for hand sanitizer, Chlorox, etc - none.
I get to the checkout line and there’s a sign saying that tomorrow, the store will be open to seniors only from 6-9 am. I‘m thinking that’s really nice of the store to do that. I ask the checker what it’s like when the store opens to everyone else at 9. He says, “A zoo!” I ask him, “By the way, how old do you have to be to be a “senior”. He says “60.” Hey, I finally qualify for something good, I’m 62! I will go there when they open and get the things we couldn’t find in several trips to the store. ;)

Thanks! I certainly have been fortunate lately. My last 4 boxes held: 6, 14, 29, & 33 silvers. Testing for CV is ramping up across the US. No positives tests reported yet for my county. Until that happens, I guess I will keep searching. Hoping this epidemic/pandemic passes quickly! Best wishes and stay safe.

It's like it's 1979 for TexAg . With the NBA and MLB presently on the sidelines, my most exciting thing to look forward to this week is finding out if TexAg strikes oil (silver) again with his next box of halves. Go get em, TexAg! Not to put any pressure on you, but we've had enough bad news of late. We certainly don't need you getting skunked with this most promising of boxes. Please do not disappoint.

How do you post coin pictures on this format?
I have a few coins I found that were solid!

    A 1990 "Berty" Penny

A 2007 nickel with absolute round edges that blankets 1/3 of perimeter text, obverse and reverse finely dented likely from a run in a commercial dryer.

And my peculiar find is a 2019D Dime with the most shiny complete "gun metal" color. No typical patina, no color imperfections, complete 2019 new shine, no dirt, grease or any foreign rough feel whatsoever on any part of the coin. Can anyone shed any light on yes, putting up the pictures and of course the coins in what exactly do I have if anything?

Just hit the "Upload a File" button and follow the prompts. This works from your smart phone or computer. Remember to select Full Size rather than leaving them as thumbnails. Makes it easier on us. And welcome to CT!

Okay, I was brought back to earth in a big way! o_O

Bought the companion box to the 33 silver box - Zip. Bought 2 other boxes from elsewhere - zip. Bought another box - 1 x 40%er. Oh, the humanity!

I did have one nice teller call me to say she received $126 in large dollars. Rushed down there with visions of Morgans and Peace dollars. Instead they were all clad Ikes. I bought them anyway, and will search for varieties, I really need a 1972 Type 2. :cyclops:

You gave her the ol' college try though, TexAg! Your bad news put a bit of a damper on this Friday evening, but your honesty is most refreshing. Matter of fact, all of you regulars on this thread should be congratulated for your steadfast truthfulness. It what makes this lengthy thread work. Either that or you guys are the best darn fibbers not only east of the Mississippi, but west too. You'll get em next time, TexAg!

Ha ha, thanks WGSL. As we say in Texas, "No brag, just fact!" And when we strike out, we admit it with a wry smile.

Today, I picked up 2 more half dollar boxes. At this particular bank, the Head Teller really likes me and my wife (she bakes them a lot of cookies, lol). She informed me that the lobby service will shut down next Tuesday, but she will be perfectly happy to break up my usual weekly order of 1 box into several plastic bags and send them to me via the Motor Bank "Commercial Lane" vacuum tube. My other pickup banks don't have that option, so if they close their lobbies, my volume will drop from 4-5 boxes to 1 (or two if I'm lucky). :blackeye:

The two boxes gave up 1 x 40%er and a Trump counterstruck Kennedy. I guess I am on a new streak of 1 silver.
