So as some of you know I have my main thread 500+ nickel box hunt. This will be haulted for a while till further notice. I have 6 sealed boxes left but after I hunt those its S.O.L for me.

Just went to the bank to turn in my nickels and my credit union has closed all its locations lobbies down till further notice.

This means I cant turn in my dump $1200 in nickels and I cant pick up my boxes. I can still pick up my 6 boxes from Chase but without turning in my dump nickels I can't pick up any new boxes.

My only alternative is to use the coinstar machines but at 12% fee every week at $1200 a week i just cant take that loss.

I can also hand wrap and turn them into a Chase bank I dont use but I currently dont have the time to do that. Looks like im going to have to wait it out.

Has this virus become a problem for your CRH?

Not yet. I don't know if I can confidently say it is going to stay that way until Friday when I go to pick up my boxes.

Most definitely won't be paying coinstar fees to keep the hobby up.

Yeah I figure i have no choice but to wait it out. Going to have to make those six boxes I have last.

I've got 2.5 boxes left. Problem is, they are like 98% full of 2019Ps!

Just a FYI. I know a branch manager at Chase and he informed me the company is considering closing the lobby as well for safety. The drive thru will remain open.

My local small dump bank with multiple branches & coin machines just announced their lobbies will close. Luckily, most of them have the drawer connecting the motor bank side to a “Commercial” lane. Looks like I will be using that from now on until this CV is behind us. More of a worry is if 2 of my supply banks close their lobbies, I won’t be able to get boxes of halves as they only have the vacuum tube lanes. :(

No it hasn't. I'm careful and cautious but it's business as normal.

I predict it won’t be long before all lobby service across the US will be shut down if there is a motor bank option for customers. Safe deposit box service will be by appointment,

I don't want to pester the poor tellers right now. I'll wait to CRH again.

Judging by my experience when opening accounts for my kids, renting/swapping SDBs, and so on, there are still some things that require you to go in and sit down at a desk.

There are also some things that require you to sit down at a desk now, but really should be doable online, or at least on a drive-through basis. Assuming you drive.

Yeah unfortunately my dump banks do not have a commercial lane :(

Will banks let us walk through the drive through? Because ATMs don't give out $1s, for example. If they don't, a person's lack of driving is going to prevent them from doing basic banking.

Some do allow it, some don't.

Well just like that everything has shut down around me. No banks to get coins. My gym has officially closed for two weeks. And it is gettng harder and harder to find essential supplies.

On a positive note I did purchase 7 proof nickel rolls to hunt. Should come in today or tomorrow. Looking for me DDRs and DDOs

I will also be posting a new box on my main thread tomorrow. Gotta make those 6 boxes I have last or I might start going through withdrawals :)

I typically only do $1k halves/branch/week but I've asked my source banks to max out my latest orders. Hopefully they come through and I'll be good for a few weeks. Two of my dump branches are staying open (so far) as they have a glass wall between the lobby and tellers. I tend to go during odd hours so I'll be practicing my social distancing as much as possible!

In louisiana I usualy hunt pennies but since we are second hardest hit by the virus and cases a little closer to home than I would like ive stoped coin roll hunting. Also my main pick up banks are only accepting deposits if you want cash gotta go to the atm.

Just got my 7 proof rolls in. Will be looking for DDO and DDRs. I will post a new thread and go thru a roll every day or so and post the results

On another postive note. I Looked everywhere for a week but I did find some milk!!! Beautiful condition. Obverse does show a ding on the top but I think it will squeeze out a XF-45 condition if I sent it to PCGS. POP 1/1

I haven't done a ton of crying here recently but I have thought of you all lately! I laughed and thought there is no way these super crh'ers who go through boxes a week will be able to dump anywhere but coin star! Even if we go through a couple months, I'll be ok. I have two tins of copper cents I've set aside and I can go through those. I check for everything so it'll take a couple months to go through those when I start.
Good luck to you all as you go through your withdraws!

For whatever reason, our neighborhood Aldi has had plenty of dairy so far. They've even restocked with eggs now. But the Harris-Teeter and Food Lion dairy shelves are barren.
