I would take the '33, sell it and be able to get ALL of the coins I really want. Not to mention live pretty comfortably too....... John
Out of those listed, I like the Gold!...but like the others said, I might get it, enjoy it for a couple of years, then sell it in order to fund all of my other interests.
Well - I voted for the morgan since I like them better and would love to have an 1895, but really none of the above is my answer. I can think of others I would rather have like.
Well if I had 7.8 million dollars there would be others I would by first. With my luck the government would confiscate my coin.
Buy the Gold, sell, then get back to searching for the coins I need to complete my 1935 Silver Coins Collection! Clinker
I chose the MS-70 1909-S VDB, because #1, it'd most likely be a one of a kind coin. #2, I'd sell it for quite a pretty penny (pun intended ). Then, I could buy most of the coins I'd want. Reason I didn't choose the 33 eagle, is because I wouldn't want to chance getting in trouble with the government with it. I was thinking on the 22 plain cent, but then, I don't know what grade it is, and it could be a cleaned AG for all I know. The rest, I just didn't choose them, because I didn't want to. Phoenix
What's with the 1909-S VDB MS70 fantasy ? All the other coins do exist except that one. Of all the coins left, only the 1895 Proof is truly rare. The 1933 $20 is more of a pattern since it was never authorized, thereby subject to seizure by the SS. The others aren't that hard to find. I've got them in lower grades.
It's not a pattern at all, and it was absolutely authorized to be minted, which is why they minted 445,500 of them. It just wasn't monetized.
