The Spring Baltimore Whitman Show has been cancelled.
Bummer, but I understand and agree.
I'm almost 80 and am an ex-smoker so I'm in the high risk category.
It's just that this show is one of only two that I go to yearly.
I do the Spring and Fall shows but skip the Summer show.

It is a bummer. I love the Whitman shows but understand as well. I hope that this has a positive impact on other local shows that will take place between the end of all of this stuff and the summer show!

Perhaps the summer show will be better attended since this once is cancelled?

I was thinking that myself! I like the summer one. Do t freeze your tucas off and you can enjoy the inner harbor as well!

I know how much anticipation this carries from many collectors. I was not going anyway, but I do understand the widespread disappointment of this.

Yeh, that crossed my mind also.

You saved me from posting the question if it was on or not. Even if it was on I was concerned about how many dealers would be there given many would be flying. Oh well let’s look forward to the summer show.

I wrote to Whitman within a day of cancellation, asking them why they hadn't canceled. Ours is a uniquely vulnerable industry, because so many dealers and customers pass so many coins across the table, and because so many of those dealers / collectors are getting on in years.

I, for one am glad they made the right, hard decision.

Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately that seems to be the only option these days, cancelling events.
