If you’re patient, examples in XF and AU condition can be found for a fraction of an uncirculated note. My AU Black Eagle.

This is not my world but what held this back from a higher grade? I can see the fold but still. It looks like a much higher grade.

 

Not sure. I bought it already graded and I think, like you, it should have been higher.
