I know this will probably be somewhat hard to do for some but try your best to pick one (maybe two if tied) from your collection.

Here's mine. This iconic sestertius of Caligula is not the best coin in my collection but due to the infamous history of this emperor and this coin, I feel it is the right selection.

    Excellent choices so far!
As we say here in Utah, if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes. Same goes for my ever allusive “favorite” coin.
But for these five minutes, finally scoring this MASSIVE hunk of Roman republican history, that I had to write up about here https://www.cointalk.com/threads/a-...t-want-you-to-know-about.355538/#post-4158831, wins out:

ROMAN REPUBLIC. Anonymous. AE Aes Grave Triens (92.37 gms), Rome Mint, ca. 225-217 B.C. VERY FINE.
Cr-35/3a; TV-53. Obverse: Helmeted head of Minerva left; four pellets (mark of value) below; all set upon raised disk; Reverse: Prow right; four pellets (mark of value) below; all set upon raised disk. A pleasing specimen despite its crudeness, with charming green surfaces. A test cut across Minerva's face is noted for completeness.

Sorry Doug, I didn't see the threads. You know, maybe some collectors favorites have changed? Nothing stays the same except for death and taxes.

Gonna be this one for me. It's my first ancient coin, and probably the prettiest (then again, I only have 2 ancient coins but still):
