I'm the current high bidder on the first. Do even try to outbid me!

Now anyone who doubted the power of a monster toned coin needs to look at the first auction link above. I just bid over 40X wholesale on this coin ($800) and lost. I really didn't think it was going to go that high because there is a very good chance that the coin is AT. Maybe I will win something at the Long Beach Sale instead. Damn snipers, I really think I need to join one of those auction sniping services.

Speaking of high prices, Let's resume our discussion of the most expensive Anaconda Cent. This coin remained in their inventory until the day they closed shop. I waited patiently as they promised that they would auction off their entire inventory, but this coin never appeared in any major auction. I was prepared to make an extremely strong bid and will be on the lookout for this coin for the rest of my life. My only explanation for why this coin did not hit the market was that it was from their personal collections, and they had no intention of selling what is considered by many to be the finest toned mint state IHC in the world. The result was a list price that was over 10X wholesale on a $750 coin.

    Price: $8,500
