Just this past week, I pulled a 1909 VDB Lincoln Cent in VF-XF condition out of a bag. I squinted as hard as I could, but just couldn't see an S. I was still pretty happy as that filled a hole in the book.

When I get a chance, I'll post some scans. Maybe you guys can convince me it's a solid XF.

I dod the same thing every time I come across a 1909-VDB. I swear I see an "S" on them, but it's probably a mirage!

LOLs all the way around, guys. Heck, is that surprising? It shouldn't be. We're all out of the same mold. But Gatzdon, I'm a "strainer," a "squinter," call it what you will... par excellence! If there's an "S," there, trust me, just post the pic...I'll find it for you! :)
