I've been trying to get a decent one for two months now. There are a lot of raggy ones on ebay. I bought this one today. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=330265628097
Hi Ed, I like your new prize. check on down the bidders list to J***P118 that was me. I was trying to upgrade with this bill. Also look at the right side the first A in the serial number has a late finish A. I learned about them maybe 6-8 months ago. Good luck with you new prize. Dean 295
Congrats, Ed!!!! I LOVE that issue! The only small-sized $1 US Note! I also hate to ask seemingly negative questions, but... does this note look like it has been ironed to anyone else here???? It seems to me to be flattened out to remove wrinkles and creases.
Great addition as Mike says... I do not think it has been ironed, however, it does appear to have been flattened out with a bit of mass atop of it. With all the creases and wrinkles I would say it is F-VF There are 2 small rust spots or foxing inside and outside of the "N" in ONE that may be small pin holes Hold a light up to it's reverse in a dark room and see if the light comes through the possible holes?? Only thing I know that might fit would be these 'A' varieties. But if that's what we're talking about, then all observed 1928 $1 USNs use the later 'A' style....
I received it today..It's much better then the picture..This has got to be the best ebay purchase I have made yet..Sorry I can't put pictures on. I will one of these days....
