1936 wheat penny with a 1936 Canadian for penny. struck on it

  1. I found a 1936 with a Canadian dot penny struck on it.. thought I would share and see if anyone other than me could confirm it ... Here are so photos...

    How does a Canadian penny find its way into the US mint and get struck?
    Or vice versa? They have their own mint. While we make coins for other foreign countries, I don't think Canada is one of them. Sounds like someone damaged a very rare dot penny.
    I am going to go out on a limb and say it's not a dot cent.

    of course there's only 4 specimens that exist. ( <== 4 that were made, and they're accounted for.)
    but that's why ... it would be ultra super rare and worth a lot of money for pocket change. Shoe horn in pareidolia to make it so.

    I knew that one sold for like a quarter million dollars, but I was thinking
    perhaps condition, and that there were lesser known examples.
    4 known is kind of a wrap for this thread.

  16. U might want to go see about that cause candian were minted in Denver 1911 to 1936
     
  17. All y'all maybe be right there might be some damage it's a 1936 woodie it's old but it's in decent shape pcgs will have to out that one in the garage cause I'm sending it in ...... The coin is two raise in the spots and what really gave it away it away was the head sitting the opposite way than Lincoln

  19. No I know it's not a fake for sure because slot if these coins I got are in original bank bags from the mint and obw rolls from several hoards these rolls and bags been in a safe since probably early 40s
