Half Box 4 of 8 held nothing remarkable.

    Box 5 held 2 40%.

Box 6 held 9 40%, which made me very happy!

Sorry to hear about the dumping whoas...if the issue is with a credit union, then any fees should be in writing and should apply to all members.

As far as WF is concerned I’ve seen the written rules. Coin and currency orders should be available to business accounts for a fee. Orders are available to regular account holders only if approved by local management, and fees may or may not apply. This is also a local management decision.

A WF I was using changed staff nearly completely and then they suddenly came up with the same rule. So FF, I know what you mean. It bites but there are other banks.

I know that CRH is becoming a popular hobby. Both my banks tellers , have told me they have had an increase in people ordering boxes of coins. Which increases the number of people dumping coins in automatic counters at banks (which are few and far between). I wonder if banks have to pay Loomis (or others) to take their bags for rolling, (I assume they do). A lot more people dumping, probably costs them more. What used to be a relatively cheap customer service, now costs them a lot more. That in mind I can see the policy becoming more and more prevalent. (sigh).

@furryfrog02 The more I think about the bank wanting to charge YOU for excessive use, the madder I get. Was there anything in the account paperwork about limits to use? Is this a policy that applies to everybody? If not, it smacks of discrimination. a policy like that would have to be written, "excessive" defined, customers notified a reasonable time ahead of implementation, and apply equally to all customers. If I were you , I would "suggest" they run it by their legal department before they try to do it to you.

I've looked through their site and see no policies regarding coin counters besides that is free for members and 7% charge for non-members.

I think my plan going forward is dropping halves and only doing cents. His whole thing was "excessive" and he just seemed fixated on the dollar amount. Ok, so I will just search 4 boxes of cents a week. Same number of coins running through the machine.

Hopefully this is a good compromise. The CRH is my go-to method to help with my anxiety and I'm not sure what I'd do without it.

I hear you @furryfrog02. Reaching a solution that keeps you doing what you like is the way to go.

Silver from last month. I found one per thousand. 1936S is a low mintage for Washington quarters.

Got a call back from my dump bank. They are going to limit me to $500/month to which I agreed. By dropping halves, I can actually up my cents. I also found another CU with a coin machine so I will be joining them soon. That will be my place to dump anything in excess of $500.

Is this just a limit on the coin machine? Do they accept rolled coins?

Wells Fargo didn't want to order 12, will do 6 instead. I'm like OK. I think those are my final boxes of halves.

12 or even 6 boxes seems extreme to me . Some teller, probably female, will have to lug them from the vault to her station to sell to you. I would spread the “pain” around to other branches/banks if possible. Be sure not to dump them back at WF.

Not a roll find but still nice. I had to go get bread real fast and on the way out I had a quick stop at the coinstar. Makes me wonder what actually made it through!

And a 101 year old wheatie! I really wish I could have a look inside the bags in that machine! One of the grocery store employees was looking at me funny. Otherwise I would've ran my finger around the magnet part where the coins go in. Maybe get another steelie or two lol.

    Half box 7 held 6, 40%, and box 8 held a whopping (for me) 19, 40%!

I’m very happy with 47, 40%ers in the 8 boxes.

    Now to dump the boxes...

    Happy hunting all!
