I'll bet the comic book in which this appeared is more valuable today than the numismatic material sold therein.
So each page of the booklet counted as one of the 111 pieces? They forgot to count the staples that bound it.
It almost looks like one of those deals where they keep sending you coins in the future. You have to return them or pay for them but I don't see that in the ad.
With Skippy's blessings, I'm going to run off his Hobby Coin Co. advertisement and mail my $2, plus a large self addressed envelope right off to Sherman Oaks. You never know? The guy could still have a few of his packages from back then laying around and my letter could trigger a positive response. I certainly don't have much to lose. Now......none of you guys copy me in this endeavor!
does that place even exist anymore to mail it? PO BOX ? Hobby Coin Co box 5177 , sherman oaks, california 91413
I'm sure someone rents the PO Box, but they're not advertising it on a web page anywhere. Just make sure you specify "Dept. A."
I'm not mailing anything. I'm just mentioning that the Company may not exist any more. But you can mail me $2 over and over again until you get a response.
I think I speak for all in saying that we trust Clawcoins like a brother. I wouldn't be surprised if Clawcoins ends up getting more coin out of this thread than deserving souls receive from those highly touted "Go Fund Me" drives. Your check from me will soon be in the mail, Clawcoins.
