Hi everybody was looking thru some customer rolls i got and came across this nickel. I personally never seen so much MD...if this is what it has. Its all over the whole coin obverse and reverse....to me this is very cool not sure to anybody else. Im use to just seeing a small section with MD. If anybody has any comments id love to read them or opinions...as always thanks for stopping by and HappyHunting :bored::cyclops::jawdrop::meh::pompous::cool:;)o_O 20200301_020844.jpg 20200301_021039.jpg 20200301_021949.jpg 20200301_021832.jpg 20200301_020844.jpg 20200301_021039.jpg 20200301_021949.jpg 20200301_021832.jpg 20200301_021239.jpg 20200301_021615.jpg

@LuckyCoin ...this coin may have a smidge of MD to go along with @paddyman98 ’s assessment of DDD.

Usually MD will manifest itself with a singular direction of shift of the coin or die during strike, while DDD will show either side or both sides of letters, numerals and design, even with no shift of coin or die...evidence of just a worn die...imo.

Keep hunting and good luck. Don’t be impatient, I’ve been collecting since 1962 and found my first true DD about 3 months ago, thanks to the edge-a-macation from Coin Talk. I called myself a numismatist a long time ago, but now I feel I really wasn’t one until I joined this forum and got my bubble popped. Now I feel I am contributing to the art and science of Numismatism even while I continue to learn...Spark
