Coronavirus Quarter?

Looking through my daily change today I came across this one. How interesting. As of now, some professionals are seriously questioning whether or not the consumption of bats is where this virus originated from.

And now I get this 2020 quarter featuring bats on the reverse side, dated the same year the world is being hit with this virus.

Unbelievable. Wonder if years from now this quarter will be infamously known as the coronavirus quarter.

Which brings us to the next question...can the virus be contracted though coin collecting???

I’m more worried about the stock market having contracted it. These last few days were like I was watching my life passing before my eyes.

Don’t worry if you invest in strong companies stock they should rise again. Even wait that stock fall more to buy some stock in strong corporations at bargain prices. Don’t sell stock at the moment wait or you can sell some that you bought lower price and keep cash in order to buy stocks when it will be the bargain time.

Not that I'm saying that you can but..
Probably a hundred other germs, diseases and viruses also. Common sense.. Wash your hands after handling your pocket change. And after touching public door handles, restrooms, ATM machines, public transportation handrails and just about anything you have to come into contact with.

And don't order any fake counterfeited coins from China! You shouldn't anyway!

By the way.. The current coronavirus issue started in 2019. That's why it's called COVID-19. It entered into 2020. Your thinking seems to be a bit of paranoia.

Here is some information for everyone -

Haven't seen one of the batty quarters yet, but it so happens I just bought a coin with bats on it myself.

Lucky bats. And a Chinese coin, to boot.

No paranoia here. Just find it strikingly coincidental that the year this disease hit the US is the same year of the US quarter featuring a bat on the reverse, and the disease itself is thought to have originated from the consumption of bats. Quite interesting.

I’m not happy with it either. I said to my husband, how much money do we have in our reserve stock fund? Use that and buy whatever you can since it’s dropped so far.:banghead:
Lol. I don’t have any. Invested it on the last minor downturn. Well I mean I didn’t lose it. Still there. Will just have to wait for it to go back up.

Exactly. I had quit my job and went back to college starting back in 2008. During that year and the next (2009) I was so sick. I don't necessarily think it's because of people I was around in classes. I think it was because I was taking public transportation to and from the city (San Francisco) every day, I was using the ATM ten fold more times then I ever had in the past, and I was pushing those crosswalk buttons on the street poles at least 20 to 30 times per day which is something I never had to do before since I drove most of the time before this.

I really never realized how dirty change is until I started looking closely at my change for errors on a daily basis. Most times I can even smell it from a foot away. I'm always washing my hands after handling change.

You need a money handler like the Queen of England! Lol.

The quarter was planned and designed quite a long time ago, possibly even before the coronavirus made the jump.

Given the state of modern discourse, I guess we have to say explicitly whether "that's quite a coincidence" really means "that's quite a coincidence", or the more common "you're a naive fool if you think They aren't doing this on purpose".

Yeah there would be no way they could have done it on purpose. I'm not implying that at all. Just saying it's quite a coincidence that all this happened at once.

You can always use your bat Quarters to purchase tp, water and face masks.

TP and water is the only thing I'm interested in, out of the three.

There are long lines in US stores for these items due to the media hype of this virus. Some place have sold out.

    Really? For TP and water?
