    Feeder finger? It’s just distortion from the striking, Mark. These cents are struck like machine-gun fire, very rapidly and haphazardly. This can happen anywhere on the coin. Check out YouTube on how cents are minted, you’ll see what I’m talking about. All that rapid banging, things like collars loosen and planchets slide. That’s what you’re seeing here.

    I didn’t see that. You mean those slanted lines between the pillars. Those are strange because they’re two sets of parallel lines. Scratches are haphazard. That’s what’s got me going now.

    I don't know. Just looks like it came from the die.
