I have just come across a set of large cents from 1793-1857 and
    Franklin Halves from 1948 - 1963.
The Large Cents are missing a few but the book is full of some of the same coins.
I was wondering if anyone could share some information about the Large Cents. I have already Emailed a few people but it takes a few days to get a response and going to go see someone in town that knows about coins.
But was wondering what you guys know about these.

Edit- Dont know if i can post pictures yet with 1 post but if it works heres a picture of them out of the book.

First of all- put them in a box then sell them to me! just kidding!!

a list of the dates would be helpfull then maybe we could look at the coins of interest!

All 1700's US coins are worth getting a better look at. You should definitely get us some more detailed pics of those

look for a reeded adge on the 1795,l would like to see an obverse pic. 1803 where the 1 has a line to the left on the top serrif on both 1 and 100. Like to see a pic of the 1807 (looking 4 sm 1807 7 over 6 blunt 1). 1834 large 8 and stars with medium letters. and 1839 date area. These are the ones with the most potential for value. Also, where did U find such treasures?

I will take a high quality pic of all of them tomorow after work when ill have a good camera. I got these from a friend whos going to iraq for 12 months and his dad died and he told us to clean his house out him before the salvation army took everything else. I got countless records along with a car but ill post the pictures tomorow after work. Thanks for the help.

I have found early coppers to be the most challenging US coins to grade accurately / determine value.

There's a lot of reasons for that, but a toughie for me is this : there are so few truly "problem free" coins. The vast majority "got issues", great or small.

So either I wait forever and pay premium, or accept a coin with minor issues and try to guess-timate the $$$ impact of those imperfections.

There's no price guide for that ! Much trickier using auction results / greysheet to estimate value.

The farther back I go, the tougher it gets.

Don't forget that attributing the coins will play a factor in determining a price.

Well i found a camera but its not good enough to take pictures of the coins perfectly. I also found a scanner but not the cord to connect it to the computer so I guess ill wait till later to get a nicer camera or find someone with a scanner.

Im probly gonna take the coins to a coin place here in town to in a bit to see what they have to say.
