I know the majority isn't worth a great deal, Would I be allowed to post images of everything here and kind of what I'm looking for each? Or should I post in the WTS section of the forum here?

I do not believe you would be allowed to list them here. Do you have your coins cataloged on-line? If so, I think it may be alright for you to provide the link here, members can take a look, and perhaps PM you if they are interested in purchasing any of them.

My catalogue is far behind where it needs to be, but I could spend some time to get the finished up.

I might suggest posting the link as is for the time being. If time is of the essence, at least members can take a look while you "finish up"

If you're going to price them, you'll need to post in the For Sale forum (be sure to read the rules there). Of course we're happy to discuss attributions and so forth here.

    Discussion here, sales over there.

You may of course post a link over on the For Sale listing to this thread or its posts, as supplemental information, if you like. (But a link from here to the For Sale listings would cross the line, I think.)

Just to share my past experience as a stamps collection advisor and art advisor one of my job from 25 years old to 32 years old. I was par time indépendant consultant in charge in an expert office to deal with seller willing to sell at the best price their collections.

For sure when someone took one appointment telling me I need qui money and want to buy quickly my stamps collection it was my nightmare as I got no room to help him really.

so my first question was : how many cash do you need now ?
My second question was : do you need it for this week ? In one month, 3 monts or 9 months ?

More you got time say 7 months to 9 month is usual to organise a sale with a good auction house and that the guy receive Monney in his bank account I was far more comfortable.

Secondly I was looking first 10 minutes to its collection to look how it is organised , describe as do serious collector and usually this is a good way to know about the guy.

After I was examining only stamps over 100 € retail value as before there are no market to sell quickly than in bulk. Slitting the over 100 € retail value stamps into bad quality, standard and most desirable. I was also taking into account my knowledge of the demand and lack of dealer stamps.

In such case I was accepting only to help for collection with a realistic retail value of at least 10 000 usd even if in the office we had a lot of client with collection between 50 000 usd up to over 1 million USD.

after that if it is a good collection I was telling to the guy is you need only 1000 or 2000 usd we can sale only what is not gems or a part at discount and wait to organise the sales of scarce and gems. 90 % of the value of a collection to the eyes of a dealer is on the 10 % easy to sale or gems.

For good collection I was negotiating with an auction house to take on consignment and give the seller the 1000 or 2000 usd. Or the seller try to find a friend to lend him Monney to allow him to wait to an auction.

The office allow me very few hours to organise all including the deal for a 10 000 usd collection.

So if I were you in all cases I will do the job to split your collection like that coins under retail price 20 usd or 30 usd in a number X of bulk to sell here , coins between 35 to 100 usd retail prices to sale here , at EBay anyway online with good photos minimum ID weight diameter for gems ones and over 100 usd on auction result to try to wait to organise an auction.
