The value is in the condition of the cent. I believe that 98 is the rarest of the three. Could be wrong so don't quote me on that.
1998 and 2000 WAMs are the easiest to find (not that they are easy to find). 1999 is the rare one; I haven't found one of these in the wild. I think that I'm evened up with the other two; maybe 4 each.
Up until a couple days ago, I thought I was still skunked with the WAM's except 88, in which all are wide AM. It is the 901 flared FG that is transitional. until I opened an old roll I had put away with a 98'in it. But living in Denver I rarely see Philly coins.
@Pickin and Grinin It's good to know that you are in the Denver area. I may PM you at some point as I'm working on my roll set and the Denver coins are slower going here in Connecticut. The reverse is true!! I've missed categorized coins and lost them to be found at a later date. Not any WAMs though. I've been good with them. My best screw-up was a coin I found during a nickel CRH event. I toss the foreign coins into a mug and continue to hunt. Someone asked the question one day in the forums about what countries folks were finding when hunting nickels. I poured the mug out and started to sort the coins. That's when I found the gold 1914 Ducat. I was real happy I refound that coin!! Regarding WAMs: I had been stuffing cents into an empty Dinkel Acker mini-keg for a number of years. About 7 years ago, the keg was full and I emptied it to roll the cents. But I decided that I would check online first to see if there were other coins besides the 1972 doubled die to look for. I was quite surprised to see that after about 35 years off from coin collecting, the world of Varieties had exploded. That's when I also learned about the WAMs and lucky for me, I had a number of high-grade Zincolns and Lincolns to go through. I had dozens of 1998, 1999, and 2000 cents to check. Nothing for '98....nothing for '99...and finally pay-dirt on a 2000 WAM. It was the first variety I found after returning to coin collecting. An MS coin to boot!! That WAM has some value, but not nearly the value given by some books and site listings. Still fun to own.
