It weighs 10.3grams the rim looks smaller like a wrong planchet. I was comparing the half dallor with a different half dallor.
Not sure. Does it sound hollow? I've found a few dozen magician's halves and they all way about that.
I've been researching that in 1974 the mint made coins for the Bahamas that has the same weight and diameter.
Fair point. Note that 29.6mm is 1.0mm less than standard. The other coin at 30.6mm is absolutely correct. Being 10.3g and fully reeded is weird. Being 10.3g and not hollow is weird. OP - in terms of not sounding hollow. If you drop the half on a hard surface like a counter top, does it sound the same as a ‘normal’ half? I’m stuck on a magicians coin. 10.3g is spot on.
One of the methods of separating the 2 sections of a magicians coin is to place it in a jar and shake it. The moment will cause both pieces to come apart.
