I wasn't really going to write all that down. Please see Hookman's articulate
summation for an in depth analysis, given with an economy of words.

    Gee, Thanks.

Your articulate assessment of my articulate summation with the 'in-depth analysis' that was given with an economy of words, was also given with an economy of words and is very much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Oh. Ok. Where's Hookman when you need him for an accurate recap.

Here I am. Tonkawa Bill offered to buy your floating roof cent. We're not supposed to engage in offers to buy or sell except in the proper forum, which is the BST (buy, sell, trade) forum, and you have to be here a while to earn those privileges. Sooo, he got his post deleted, along with a very minor warning. If he,or anyone, persists in engaging in behavior they've been warned about, it can lead to serious consequences, including being banned. His deleted post was the one right after your "you betcha" post. Everything he wrote was deleted and the mod wrote, in red, the warning.
In fine print, on the lower right side of that red post you can see "Last edited by a moderator" with a day and time.

Most of us have been edited and warned about something, at some time or another. Myself, it was language. When it comes to language we can use on the forum, think "1950's TV show". That's the way what's allowed has been described to me.

Most of us here are men, and many conversations can devolve into "man think" and then "man speak" which is what is not allowed.

Anyway, you get used to it.

Oh, ok. I didn't think I violated any rules. I saw that message printed in red and thought the Moderator had a problem with something I said. I thank you for spelling it out for me...martha

Also, I never saw Tonkawa Bill's offer on my screen. That is probably what threw me.

it was probably before you were online again.
The post was at 4:11AM Saturday
and the moderator cleaned it up at 11:13pm Saturday
and then you posted at 5:26pm Sunday .... so you probably never saw it.
many of us others saw it though.

below is the post, see bottom left of post time, and bottom right of moderator time.
